Buildings

Common use buildings built from the ground up with recycled materials such as reused wheels, wood and straw walls, plastered with lime to seal them and finished off with ecological paints. The use of these materials ensures that our buildings breathe health and have low energy consumption in their maintenance.

Green roofs

A green roof, green roof or green roof is the roof of a building that is partially or completely covered with vegetation, either in soil or in an appropriate growing medium. It does not refer to green roofs, such as those with green tiles, nor to roofs with potted gardens. It refers instead to technologies used on roofs to improve the habitat or save energy consumption, that is, technologies that fulfill an ecological function.One of the central buildings, as well as the space dedicated to the yoga school, are built with that philosophy. Difficulties exist and our project shows them to us every day, we learn every time we build something.

Accumulator stoves

Within the project, one of the objectives we have set is to try to share our learning process with people, for this we have organized a series of courses that consist of a theoretical part and a practical part. In one of the courses the practical part was the construction of an accumulator stove, whose location was the reception. These years we have been able to verify that the efficiency of said heating system exceeds all our expectations both in consumption and in results.

Wind power

Wind energy is the energy obtained from the wind, that is, the kinetic energy generated by the effect of air currents, and which is transmuted into other useful forms of energy for human activities. …In our campsite we use the accumulated energy for the exterior light of the campsite.

Heating system

The hot water we use in the bathrooms and sinks is obtained through olive pellets or pits, as well as the heating of the bioclimatic modules.“Biomass is considered a group of renewable energy products and raw materials that originate from organic matter formed biologically.”Fossil fuels and organic materials derived from them (plastics and most synthetic products) are therefore excluded from this concept since, although they had a biological origin, their formation took place in remote times. Biomass is a renewable energy of solar origin through the photosynthesis of plants.

Compost

Sharing and supporting the decision that the Sakana area has made to separate waste, from the campsite we want to contribute our grain of sand and we invite all our clients to use the composters that are distributed throughout the campsite so that they can use them and learn together. all .The natural and scenic value of the area forces us to be respectful of the environment and our campsite must commit and take concrete measures to preserve natural values and resources and thus contribute to the promotion of the comprehensive and sustainable development of Sakana.We must cause the least impact on the land we have occupied, each of the people who use these spaces in one way or another are responsible for our actions and each of our small gestures with nature are important. It is an important challenge for us, for those who have decided to take this path with us and for all those who have believed that it was worth staying here and enjoying all the potential that this great natural amphitheater offers us.
