Sustainable Development


Arbizu Eco-camping’s  building has been  based on concepts of sustainability, bioclimatism and renewable energies application, focused on offering a choice of sustainable tourism that respects the unique natural setting in which it is situated.
Service and and common use buildings of the campsite have been built with a 
wooden frame and walls are sealed with straw bales, a nearby and natural material, economic, easy to use and that gives a high level of isolation. The lime plaster on the straw is the key to the walls are perfectly sealed and insulated from external agents that could damage the inner straw.
It is noticeable the warmth of these spaces and the low energy involved in its maintenance.

The bungalows are small bioclimatic homes for the accommodation, built with timber frame as a "sandwich" that integrate natural and recycled insulation materials (wool or recycled cotton jeans as examples). 


Inspired by the eco-villages and eco-technology values, eco-energies, eco-consumption and social corporate responsibility also has training and educational objectives by organizing courses and workshops. 

The philosophy of Arbizu Eco-camping is that visitors enjoy fully integrated into nature being environmentally friendly.
The high natural and landscape value of the area, make the eco-camping to commit to the environment and take concrete steps to preserve the values ​​and natural resources in the construction and operation while contributing to promote comprehensive and sustainable development in the valley of Sakana.
